Wizard of Oz Father's Day Card

My daughter is a huge Wizard of Oz fan, and my hubby is an avid ball player so I combined them to make this super cute card for her to give him -- the inspiration came from a card I saw while at the Post Office last week - I changed the look and words to make it more personal for us!

Sympathy Card

Was in the craft room cleaning up the other day --- actually I was forced to clean up because I dropped one of my Heartfelt dies and tore the room apart looking for it - of course, it was not found :o(  Hoping it will turn up or I will need to repurchase the entire set!

Anyway, I made a vow to start using up all the scraps that are lying around, and I made this Sympathy card with matching envelope - I love the way the flowers came out, and I added drops of Glossy Accent so it looks like there are raindrops on the petals!!!

30 Day Color Challenge - Day 30

Finishing up the 30 day challenge, although it took me a lot longer than 30 days!  Below is a card I made colored with Spectrum Aqua markers and using one of Art Impressions new "window" stamps. The ink ran a little under the dock, but it doesn't look too bad.

The outside of the card is not "blinged-up" like most of the cards I make, but I really wanted the focal point to be the window.

I'm trying to finish up some crochet projects I've had lying around half finished for a while, then I'm going to try working on some mini-albums I've been wanting to start and may try my hand at some more altered art projects -- look for postings as soon as I get something new accomplished.

30 Day Color Challenge - Day 29

Another water color picture done with Spectrum Noir Aqua markers.  This time, I used the Spectrum pencils to add dimension to the picture.

Wizard of Oz Music Box

My first attempt at an Altered Art project --  I made a music box for my daughter that plays "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" --  Not bad for a first attempt!  The music box is under the "Ruby Slipper" platform --

Color Challenge - Day 28

This card is colored using Spectrum Aqua markers.  I saw a tutorial on the Heartfelt Creations blog where you stamp the image then outline the design with the markers and use a water pen to blend.  I really like the effect.

Color Challenge - Day 27

Experimenting with some different ways to "jazz" up some of the background stamps I have.  In this one, I wanted a rather vintage look, so I used Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) and sponged it on white card stock.  Then stamped the image with brown ink and colored with my alcohol markers.  I stamped a second image onto white yardstick and fussy cut out the dress, colored and shaped it to match the card then pop dotted it so it would stand up.  I added gold wink a stella on the dress, a gemstone at the breast of the gown and some pearls for the flower centers.  Some of the flowers look a bit bright, but I think it looks OK --

Color Challenge - Day 26

Today made a side step Birthday card for the son of a friend.  The theme was "Caterpillar turns 1" - used Spectrum Aqua markers to color the bugs and then Wink A Stella to make them glitter.

Another Graduation Card

Card for a friend's daughter who graduates from High School this month.  I love adding "google eyes" to cards!

Color Challenge - Day 25

Tried a new technique today- I used white ink and white embossing powder with one of my Heartfelt Creations floral stamps on glossy paper, then used Memento inks to resist emboss for the background of this card.  Made it for a friend's retirement!

Fresh As A Daisy Blanket

Finally finished this blanket I started AGES ago!!

Color Challenge - Day 24

Card colored with alcohol markers.  Hated the way the butterflies turned out so I "embellished" them by using some stickers I had.  Not sure it comes out clearly, but the wings are glittered.

Color Challenge - Day 22

Back from vacation and determined to finish the 30 day Challenge, so here is something a little different.  I stamped the same image 3 times and used a different coloring method with each.  Amazing the different effects that are achieved, even by someone as horrible as I am at coloring!

Baby Gift Basket

We have friends who are expecting a little boy, so I made this baby basket for them.  HUGE baseball Cardinal fans, so I figured the little guy will pick up the Fan-tashia!  Hope they like it :0)  First pic is the hand made blanket, second all the items I included in the basket, and third, basket is ready to give.

Cards I Created

Here are a couple cards I created.  One is my first Spinner card using the Ai stamp and the second is done with Heartfelt Creations Peacock Paisley collection of papers, stamps and flower dies.

Color Challenge - Day 19

Been a little busy the past couple of days, but took some time out today for crafting.  Here is the coloring I did for our challenge.
